Ground Burial
Ground burial options include traditional single, double depth or side by side graves; large and small family plots; Veterans’ graves in a dedicated military section; heritage sites in historic sections, and land set aside for Private Family Estates.
Crypt Entombment
Crypt options include Mausoleum Private Rooms and Family Areas; outdoor crypts in landscaped Garden Courts and traditional indoor crypts located in the beautiful All Saints Mausoleum.
Cremation Services
Holy Cross provides for the permanent care and memorialization of cremated remains. Many options are available, including traditional in–ground burial, marble niches, glass niches, family columbaria, and the interment of an urn in an existing family plot.
Committal Services
The committal prayer service, the final opportunity to pay tribute and say goodbye, may be held at the grave, crypt, niche or in one of our beautiful chapels. Saturday services are available for an additional charge.
Genealogy Research
We maintain the interment records of both Holy Cross Cemetery and the historic Calvary Cemetery in San Francisco. Our staff will research all persons interred in a family plot and provide whatever information is available in our records. This typically includes: date and place of death, date of birth or age, place of birth, parish from which the person was buried, and mortuary.
Veterans Services
Dedicated to the valiant men and women who have served in our Armed Forces, the Star of the Sea military section is reserved for veterans and their spouses. Our staff can assist families in obtaining a military headstone or emblem for memorialization.
Merchandise
Urns, permanent containers or outer burial receptacles are required where applicable within the cemetery. Holy Cross offers a selection of urns, urn vaults and burial vaults appropriate for various sections in the cemetery.
Memorialization
Memorial Benches, Memory Tree Leaves, Memorial Candles, Memorial Tree Program and Stations of the Cross are available. Monuments, as well as monument cleaning and inscription work may be arranged through the cemetery.

Our Family Service Advisors can guide you in selecting arrangements most suited to your personal wishes, family traditions, and financial needs. Making decisions ahead of time provides peace of mind and eases future burdens. Payment plans are available.
Mass
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered at 11AM on the First Saturday of each month in All Saints Mausoleum Chapel.
